Architectural / Sales Specification Representative- Prestale (Montreal based)

We are currently seeking a self-motivated experienced Architectural / Sales Specification Representative with a proven track record in the Los Angeles area who is interested in joining our winning team.

Based in Los Angeles, working from your home office, and covering the territory of Southern California, the Specification Representative will be responsible for growing the Radianz brand within the prescribed territory by identifying all strategic A&D AND K&B firms and developing strong and trusting relationships with their influencers and decision makers.

Specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Identify all strategic Architect and Design (A&D) AND Kitchen and Bath (K&B) firms within the territory and systematically profile each prospect identifying key influencers: Principals, Directors, Senior Spec Writers, and Interior Designers with whom relationships must be established.
  • Provide education through presentations to Architects and Designers.
  • Re-establish contact and further develop relationships with existing prospects in this territory.
  • Provide technical, design, application and other support to prospect firms.
  • Ensure that all prospects in the territory are up-to-date with product samples and literature.
  • Be responsible for generating and tracking the progress of product specifications from product selection through to installation. Working in collaboration with the corresponding chain of architects, designers, owners, general contractors and fabricators.
  • Be responsible for promoting and reinforcing company and brand quality in regional markets, research, participate in regional architect and design trade shows, exhibitions and associations where necessary.
  • Travel routinely throughout the assigned region for the purpose of managing and influencing demand for the products through various sales activities. Fact-find and facilitate an increase in annual product sales.
  • Compile and maintain a data base of current and prospective customers, business development opportunities.
  • Develop sales relationships and programs with regional accounts, specifiers, corporate end-users and OEM-type business models for the purpose of generating incremental product sales.
  • Prepare and submit reports documenting sales activities and updates regarding prospective clients and business opportunities.
  • Maintain and manage expense accounts.
  • Coordinate architectural and specification efforts by arranging meetings and presentations. Research, track and follow-up on all potential project-sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and conduct sales presentations as needed to groups and individuals including various trade segments such as fabrication companies, kitchen and bath dealers, architects and designers.
  • College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least two years of demonstrated ability in architectural/commercial business development/ sales environment.
  • Excellent technical aptitude is essential.
  • Exposure to the solid surface, engineered stone and granite industries, its practices and approaches is advantageous.
  • Handling objections by taking initiative and finding creative solutions is critical.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and manage performance is a must.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with prospect firms' key personnel.
  • Demonstrate consultative selling skills.
  • Work independently with minimum supervision and have excellent time management ability.
  • Work in and adapt to a changing business environment. Identify opportunities for competitive advantage with new and existing products.
  • Team player who has a record of achieving and exceeding company and team objectives.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Fluent Bilingualism (English / Spanish).
